NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc (NYSE:WMT -News) plans to start selling a new single-serve beverage maker, according to an analyst report on Thursday, sending shares of rival coffee system maker Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc(NasdaqGS:GMCR - News) down more than 4 percent.

The introduction of the Esio Beverage System, with its relatively inexpensive drinks, could pressure the price that Green Mountain, the dominant player in the U.S. single-serve coffee market, can charge for its K-Cups, which are the portions of coffee used in its brewers, the report said.
Wal-Mart, the world's biggest retailer, has plans to begin selling the Esio System, which can make single servings of hot and cold drinks including coffee, tea, energy drinks and vitamin waters, according to a report by research firm Detwiler Fenton.

"We believe that this introduction will likely be a game changer in the single-serve category," Detwiler said in the report, adding that Walmart had been frustrated with Green Mountain's pricing, which was considered too high for the Walmart consumer.

New Turkey Recipe

I thought this sounded good! Here is a turkey recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a stuffing ingredient -- imagine that. When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people like me, who just are not sure how to tell when turkey is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out.

Give this a try.

8 - 15 lb. turkey

1 cup melted butter

1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is Good)

1 cup un-popped popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHER'S LOW FAT IS BEST)

Salt/pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350degrees. Brush turkey well with melted butter, salt, and pepper.

Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn.

Place in baking pan making sure the neck end is toward the front of the oven, not the back.

After about 4 hours listen for the popping sounds.

When the turkey's rear end blows the oven door open and the bird flies across

the room,.... it's done.

And, you thought I didn't cook...

Been busy with my new job but since I am from Pulaski,(psssst, don't tell anyone), I seen this little tidbit in the Green Bay Press.

"PULASKI — The village will hold a special board meeting at 10 a.m. Monday at the Village Hall to discuss options to fill the village president vacancy. Village President Ronald Kryger died Thursday evening after suffering a massive heart attack while working at Village Hall. The meeting is open to the public." First, Mr Kryger, RIP.

Second I understand the city of Pulaski needs to fill the vacancy but what are they trying to pull here. A meeting at 10:00 am to discuss the matter? Seems the powers at be in that little polish town are trying to stack the deck on who should take over until an election can be called. Maybe their by laws have someone suceed Mr Kryger but this doesn't pass the smell test. You have to be from there to understasnd. Will the old village president who lost to Kryger try to take over his old seat?

Why not a second meeting Monday night? Wonder how the tax payers will end up paying for something more in the future because of meeting at 10:00 am on a Monday.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2011 More teachers and fewer needless expenditures? The School Administrator with the help of the building and grounds supervisor has now purchased enough items that were not in the school's annual budget to easily pay for one full time teacher!

He has bought computer equipment and a tractor with accessories that combined would pay the cost of another badly needed teacher. He tried to sneak thru a new $15,000+ sound system but so far the School Board has stopped this unbudgeted expenditure. Now he wants us tax payers to pay a return or restocking fee for the sound system equipment he ordered without approval!

So why does Reid Ribble have to "start working together", say what?

Why does Reid Ribble always want to work with the democrats? Why doesn't he just work on passing bills that will save our country that the democrats sold us down the river on! Is he a moderate republican that just want's to be accepted in Washington or fix the problems that the democrats and President Obama put us in. Sorry, I forgot, Ribble rubbed elbows with the president at last years super bowl party at the white house.

Media Created It's Own Problems

Newspapers are often the lone voice in calling for governmental transparency. Community newspapers take on the responsibility of gathering and printing the news that informed citizens need to know, not just the attention-getting stuff that is often more entertainment than real news. You won’t find citizen bloggers attending city council meetings on a regular basis, he noted.

So why are the newspapers in the media having problems with circulation and income levels dropping? I understand what newspapers are up against but most, not all newspapers created their own problems.
From the above paragraph Mr. Anfinson admits part of the fault. Even though community and local papers attend city council meetings and bloggers don't, local newspapers generally do not tell the whole story, omit important items in local news and slant their views towards the ploitical party they believe in. Seems most have a political slant for left, liberal, democrat politicians.

Reasons are too many to mention but since someone will question me on my comments here are a few.Did the MSM report people protesting in Madison this past spring that most were from out of state? When a heavy rain hit Milwaukee, Why will the MSM not report for example, MMSD from Milwaukee dumping 506 million gals of untreated human waste into Lake Michigan for example in July of 2010? How about the non story of the Crivitz school board not taking minute notes of their meetings? This has been going on the last several months and no one thought it was important to investigate or report. A blogger broke that story.

If the media would just report the news honestly and drop their bias at the door, a lot of people would purchase the dead tree or online subscriptions of their newspapers.The media can cry all they want but their faults specifically lie with editors, owners and reporters. No one else to blame for their problems. But keep doing what your doing and see other forms of news reporting pass you by.

We're Watching Wisconsin Elections Campaign

On Nov. 9th the Government Accountability Board is having a meeting that everyone who is concerned about our elections should attend. They will be discussing and voting on a number of issues including:

1) Student IDs

2) Single signature recall petitions that can be sent over the internet

3) Allowing citizens to vote a second time

It is at 9 AM and will be at their offices at 212 E. Washington or in the Capitol. We need friendly faces!!!!!!.

Strange Corn Field Circles In U P

HARRIS TOWNSHIP - A Bark River family remains flabbergasted over a pair of crop circles discovered on their property Thursday.

The Jorasz family found the two circles in a cornfield approximately one mile from their home off U.S. 2 and 41 in Harris Township.

"It's eery - everyone says this is really weird," Sue Jorasz said Friday.

According to Sue, one of the couple's six sons, Mark, was using a combine to harvest the cornfield when he noticed the circles. Mark then got on top of the combine, contacted his father and took pictures with his cell phone.

According to John Jorasz, upon his arrival at the field, he noticed what appeared to be perfect circles about 100-150 feet wide and 100 yards apart.

Wonder if Captain Kirk landed in the UP like he landed in San Francisco park in Star Trek IV, The Voyage Home?

At around 6 o’clock Sunday evening, Feia got off a killing shot at a 648-pound black bear that he had been tracking since the Fourth of July.

"During the expedition to the Azasskaya cave, conference participants gathered indisputable proof that the Shoria mountains are inhabited by the 'Snow Man,'" the Kemerovo region administration said in a press release.

The statement said that members of the expedition found hair samples, a bed and other items the creature uses to mark its territory.

An Oconto County man who has been the subject of a six year undercover investigation has been charged with illegaling hunting bear and transferring bear licenses, in violation of federal wildlife laws.

According to a federal criminal complaint, John J. Kellogg, 46, of Gillett, had developed a commercial enterprise related to illegal hunting of wildlife in Wisconsin, Michigan, Wyoming and Montana. State DNR officials sought assistance from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service back in 2005 to begin an undercover investigation.

The complaint states that in September 2009 and September 2011 Kellogg arranged for the illegal transfer of Wisconsin bear hunt tags, and guided for other hunters. In 2011, the complaint charges, Kellogg killed a bear himself, though his hunting privileges had been revoked in in February 2011 for illegal deer hunting in 2009.

" The maze at Connors Farm in Danvers can take up to an hour to navigate.

A police officer entered the maze with a farm manager to search for the disoriented father, mother and two children. The family didn't realize they had almost made their way out and were just 25 feet from the street.

Farm owner Bob Connors tells the Boston Globe (http://bo.st/p7Xmzr) that they designed the maze so that people get lost in the long corn stalks.

U.S. authorities said they had broken up a plot by two men linked to Iran's security agencies to assassinate Saudi Ambassador Adel al-Jubeir. One was arrested last month while the other was believed to be in Iran.

Iran denied the charges. But President Barack Obama called the plot a "flagrant violation of U.S. and international law" and Saudi Arabia said it was "despicable."

Revelation of the alleged plot, and the apparent direct ties to the Tehran government, had the potential to further inflame tensions in the Middle East, and the United States said Tehran must be held top account.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A former Wisconsin attorney general who fought the state when it put metal detectors at the entrances of the state Capitol earlier this year says she would also object if they are reinstalled once concealed weapons are legalized.

Peg Lautenschlager said Monday that there was no discussion with the state in June when the metal detectors were removed under a settlement that they might be put back up. She represented the Wisconsin State Employees Union in a lawsuit challenging the metal detectors.

Peg must be making big bucks for the state employee unions.

The association specifically took issue with provisions that call for at least four hours of training, including hands-on practice and requirements that instructors sign training completion certificates.

Kent Krueger opened the Ciggy Shack in Menomonee Falls in May with two roll-your-own machines. But after the state told him last month that he must pay both manufacturers’ and distributors’ taxes, Krueger shut down.

Governor Walker disputed the idea Oct. 5 that a tax crackdown on roll-your-own tobacco shops means that Wisconsin is no longer “open for business.” At his news conference, Walker defended the law that requires roll-your-own tobacco shops to pay both manufacturing and distributors’ taxes.
The governor says being open-for-business means what he called “certainty” – and part of the certainty is to apply state laws to everyone across-the-board. Walker says he’s not picking “winners and losers.”

Mr. Walker, this is fuel to your possible recall for next year. Admit you made a mistake and back off on these businesses. Wondering if the power in Madison is affecting some?

But now, both sides say they want to reach a settlement without a walkout. The head of the U-A-W chapter at Oshkosh, Nick Nitschke, says he employees will work under its old contract for now. More talks are set for tomorrow and Thursday. Nitschke says the major disagreements involve work-place issues, and the company’s plans to hire temporary workers starting in 2013.

So will the Wisconsin teachers unions and the state worker unions walk and protest against Oshkosh Truck? Will Marty and Mary speak up for the workers?

I don't think they will because Oshkosh Truck has nothing to do with their unions. They only care about their own rear ends!

A masseuse offered a man a "happy ending" before stealing his wedding ring, police reports say.

The man, 33, called Brookfield police about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday to report he had been the victim of theft while staying at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel.

The man said he arranged for a masseuse to come to his hotel room, but when she offered to give him a "happy ending," he refused. He went to the restroom and when he returned, she was gone and so was his wedding ring and the $50 he paid her for the massage.

Both General Motors and the United Auto Workers have had to make concessions in the most recent round of talks that led to the tentative labor agreement that's currently awaiting ratification. But what exactly did workers give up in the process? For starters, GM employees will cease to enjoy free legal counsel starting in 2014. For decades, the UAW Legal Services Plan provided attorney services to unionized autoworkers on their employer's dime. Workers can use the plan for anything, including divorce, with the exception of suing their employer, legal woes attached to rental properties or any criminal offense that could lead to jail time.

According to The Detroit Free Press, the Legal Services Plan came into being in the late '70s with the purpose of providing low and middle-income workers access to top-rate legal service. At the time, General Motors and other domestic manufacturers could afford to provide the aid, but with 65 offices in 20 states fielding over 160,000 cases per year, it's easy to see the cost benefit of shedding the service. GM may not be the only automaker looking to bow out, either. There's some indication that Ford will do the same in its negotiations with the union.

Just in time for fall colorama, a new all-terrain vehicle trail meandering through eastern Langlade and northern Oconto counties has opened for riders.

The 40-mile trail was inaugurated one week ago today by members of the Woodland Trails ATV Club, Hidden Bear Trail ATV Club and the Red Arrow Snowmobile/ATV Club. The group started at the Lakewood ATV Trailhead on the Nicolet State Trail, went north to Townsend and turned onto the new loop. The riders had lunch at Animal's Bear Trail Inn and ended up back on the Nicolet State Trail 40 miles later.

Great news for tax payers. Here from Elmbrook. All sorts of stories are coming out around Wisconsin because of ACT 10 and what Scott Walker and what republicans did this past spring.

Elmbrook likely to see 7.6 percent tax levy drop - BrookfieldNOW

Residents of the Elmbrook School District can expect to pay less for the school portion of their 2011 property tax bills, following preliminary approval of the district's proposed 2011-12 budget.
Residents voted at the district's annual meeting Monday to set a tax levy of about $72 million, a 7.6 percent decrease from the 2010-11 tax levy.
That puts the 2011 tax rate at $9.75 per $1,000 of property value, down 8.8 percent from last year.
Based on equalized values, the owner of a $300,000 home can expect to pay $2,925 this year in school taxes - down from $3,207 in 2010. However, property taxes will vary depending on actual assessed values.

Let's be honest here. If your school board renewed contracts with teachers unions for one to two more years, you can go look at your morning weather. You are S O L. Those with good school boards who used Scott Walkers tools, alleluia. Wait, don't count your chickens before they're hatched.

What will tax payers really see a decrease? Will some local counties, cities and townships really let property owners see their tax bills go down?

I just wonder if some will try to raise local taxes because of the decrease of school tax levies. With less funding municipalities received from the changes in the state budget, liberals in government will always be liberals first and friends of tax payers last. They will fight tooth and nail to keep as much money as they can. Will they say they neeed more money for pot holes and police cars, for libraries to sewer caps. Wil they cry out, school taxes are going down but we are short on local taxes, we will keep a part of your money. I am no expert on local government but you can never be sure how local politicians think, say and do.

The proof is in the pudding and we the property owners in Wisconsin will not see our tax bills till December.

MADISON, Wis. — Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald has rejected two Democrats recommended for a new committee on Wisconsin mining regulations.

Fitzgerald, a Juneau Republican, said Tuesday he is naming Democratic Sens. Bob Jauch of Poplar and Jim Holperin of Eagle River to the committee.

Jauch was one of three Democrats recommended for the panel by Senate Minority Leader Mark Miller, a Monona Democrat. The Senate GOP leader rejected two of Miller's recommendations, Democratic Sens. Tim Carpenter of Milwaukee and Jon Erpenbach of Middleton.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/oQQJOQ ) that Miller's spokesman accuses Republicans of partisanship — a claim the GOP leader's spokesman rejects.

Gogebic Taconite has proposed an iron mine in Iron and Ashland counties, but wants assurances of an end point in the state permitting process before it moves forward.

So my state senator Jimma Holperin, is on the mining committee. A couple of questions.

Why is Miller, a dem, complaining of the picks? Does he not like Holperin and Jauch? How could someone from Milwaukee and Middleton know about mining when Holperin and Jauch live with mines in their districts?

Will Holperin and Jauch go out of their way to stop jobs in Northern Wisconsin or bow to the leftie fringe and the Northern tribes who contribute to their campaigns?

As part of a campaign featuring "real people" explaining their decision to buy the Blue Oval, a guy named "Chris" says he "wasn't going to buy another car that was bailed out by our government," according the text of the ad, launched in early September.

"I was going to buy from a manufacturer that's standing on their own: win, lose, or draw. That's what America is about is taking the chance to succeed and understanding when you fail that you gotta' pick yourself up and go back to work

." That's what some of America is about, evidently. Because Ford pulled the ad after individuals inside the White House questioned whether the copy was publicly denigrating the controversial bailout policy CEO Alan Mulally repeatedly supported in the dark days of late 2008, in early '09 and again when the ad flap arose. And more.

With President Barack Obama tuning his re-election campaign amid dismal economic conditions and simmering antipathy toward his stimulus spending and associated bailouts, the Ford ad carried the makings of a political liability when Team Obama can least afford yet another one. Can't have that.

I don't think Ford knew how good the ad they pulled was.
I am disappointed.

Reid Ribble Should Switch Parties

The Green Bay Press has this article about Reid Ribble the Congressman from the Wis. 8th District. You really need to read the whole article to get the full arrogance of Reid Ribble.

Ribble, who represents the 8th Congressional District, has not voted since the 2010 midterms, when he ousted incumbent Democrat Steve Kagen of Appleton.

He was the only member of Wisconsin’s congressional delegation to skip the April 5 spring election, which featured a high-profile race for the state Supreme Court. And of the five members of Congress who are registered to vote in state Senate districts that held a recall election this summer, Ribble is the only one who didn’t vote.

On Monday, Ribble called his failure to vote in the April 5 election “an unfortunate and unforced error,” and disclosed for the first time that he hasn’t lived in the 8th Congressional District since March, which explains why he didn’t vote in an Aug. 9 recall election targeting state Sen. Robert Cowles, R-Allouez.

Let me get this straight.

1) This wasn't in the article but it kind of goes with the actions of Reid Ribble. Ribble votes like Obama in voting "Present" on H.J. Res 77. So he can't vote yes or no? Do you know how many times Obama voted present? 129 times.

Back to the article.

2) Ribble didn't vote in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race with Prosser? Why not?

3) Ribble didn't vote in Wisconsin state senate race with Cowles? Why not?

4) Ribble moved out of the 8th district last March and told everyone he moved out this summer. Oh, looks like he lied.

5) Ribble promised not to miss another vote again. How can we believe him?

I do not trust Reid Ribble on anything he says or does. I am conservative and did not vote for and will not vote for Ribble in the future. Remember, Ribble replaced Pelosi puppet Steve Kagen.

I worked to get Steve Kagen replaced but there are a couple things I know about Steve Kagen. You could hate Kagen for his votes, dislike Kagen for what he stood for, Not understand what Kagen would say, yes Kagen would make things up (men's bathroom with Cheney) Kagen would hide things from the voters. Kagen didn't pretend to be someone one he wasn't. Kagen was just a typical Democrat. Everyone knew that.

So now were stuck with Ribble, a so called republican who acts just like a democrat. You Ribble voters must be really proud. It will be interesting to see all the die hard Ribble supporters explain this one. Come on man, explain this one.

If Ribble is going to act like a democrat, talk like a democrat, vote like a democrat, why doesn't he just switch parties? I'm sure the democrats will take him in a heart beat.

$40 K Cell Phone Bill

The city of Wausau spends thousands of dollars each month on more than 100 cellphones for its employees, with different departments using several different plans and types of phones.

The city spent at least $40,000 on cellular service last year and provided at least 126 phones to employees and elected officials, according to a Wausau Daily Herald analysis of data obtained under Wisconsin open records law. The City/County Information Technology Commission did not respond to the Daily Herald's open-records request, so its cellular bill remains unknown.

The biggest individual bill -- $14,500 in 2010 -- went to an account that covers the Wausau Water Works, Engineering, Public Works, Finance and other departments, with monthly charges paid by each department. The Police Department spent $11,715 in 2010 for 39 phones. Mayor Jim Tipple's cellphone cost $214 in 2010, an average of about $18 per month. The majority of the phones are assigned to individual employees, but others are shared by multiple employees, including 14 assigned to Police Department squad cars driven by different officers.

So what did city employee's do before cell phones?

Why can't the mayor use his own cell phone?

If they need phones, why not buy them a Tracfone?

The real question is, who's paying for all this?

Milwaukee-based Roundy's Supermarkets Inc. is recalling about 360 pounds of breaded chicken breast that may have been undercooked.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the products were sold after Sept. 13 at deli counters in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The agency says the product being recalled is no longer available for purchase, but consumers who already bought it should discard it.

Why has no one reported the stores affected are Pick n Save, Copps Food Centers , Rainbow Foods , Metro Markets or Mariano's Stores. There are people out there that's never seen a "Roundy's" Food Store. If this happened at Woodmans, Festival Foods or Piggly Wiggly the press would say "Woodmans, Festival Foods or Piggly Wiggly."

I am just thinking that there may be a lot of older people in the recall areas and when they hear Roundy's, it would go right over their heads and make nothing of it. They would just eat the affected recall item and go out and die.

I know the media is just copying the press release from Roundy's but don't you think the media could have some common sense when it comes to reporting news and important information? To that I guess I will also blame Roundy's for not putting out a specific recall notice for it's stores. Maybe they planned it that way.

If a life would ever be lost because of a lack of common sense, who would get the blame?

The media should of reported the specific stores under the Roundy's label but were too lazy to get and report the whole story. The media is real good at cut and paste..

For former Green Bay resident Kyle Scidmore, having his 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier totaled by an uninsured driver in Madison this spring meant some painful out-of-pocket expenses that took more than a month to recover. He had to front the cost of the $500 deductible on his policy, and hope that his insurance company could convince the teenage driver who hit him to make good on the amount.

NFL wants pat downs from ankles up at all stadiums

The NFL wants all fans patted down from the ankles up this season to improve fan safety.

Previously, security guards only patted down fans from the waist up before gaining entry to NFL stadiums. Under the new "enhanced" pat-down procedures, the NFL wants all 32 clubs to search fans from ankles to the knees as well as the waist up.

The stricter security approach impacts the 16.6 million fans expected to attend live regular season NFL games this season.

The league wanted all clubs to implement the enhanced searches for Week One of the new season, says spokesman Brian McCarthy. The NFL hopes fans will be "patient" -- and arrive earlier to games to avoid lengthy delays.

Because of this.

The NFL suffered damage to its family-friendly image when a South Carolina man was arrested for using an illegal taser on other fans at a New York Jets-Dallas Cowboys game Sunday night.

So will Nascar do full pat downs on their fans coming into the tracks next year?

First, let's look at who NFL fans are.If you think there is no diffrence between the two you have a problem.

NFL stadiums are full of of left wing liberal nuts who would do anything to be on TV.Did you see President Obama at a NASCAR race? In Green Bay they are serving gluten free food for the fans. Whats next, veggie burgers? Who are NASCAR fans a little later.

Let's start with NFL games, no carry ins, $8.00 beers, $4.00 brats, no beer sales in the fourth quarter.

NASCAR, carry in coolers filled with any beverage of choice in plastic or cans, no glass.

NFL, no food brought in, NASCAR, sandwiches, turkey legs, snacks, food of choice able to be carried in.

NFL, you can wear radio head phones to listen to the game. NASCAR, scanners, Sprint Vision (able to play back TV feed when ever you want). MRN (radio feed) available on scanners. When will the NFL let fans listen in on the coaches? Do they know how much revenue they are missing out on? NFL coaches speak in secret code anyway, so who would even know what they are talking about. 30,000 fans listing to the coaches at $25 to $50 per game per person. Can we say extra money for the owners.

Security: There are nuts in all walks of life but NASCAR fans are one of a kind. Yes they may be called red neck, southern hicks, beer drinking, God loving, love of country hay seeds but they are not going to bring a taser into a race and go off on people in the crowd. If anyone did try to pull a taser on NASCAR fans, one, you wouldn't hear about it and two, the guy that would pull a taser would be in the hospital from tripping down the steps of row 54 of the grandstands. You probobly wouldn't even hear about it. Case closed.

Liberal don't like NASCAR so you can take a lot of them (trouble) out of the equation.

If NASCAR even considers full pat downs at the tracks they would see their revenue fall off drasticly and the drivers can kiss their high paid races a thing of the past. I know NASCAR only took Sunoco ethanol fuel just to get the ethanol whores money but if they start leaning towards, no carry ins, pat downs or scramble scanner frequencies they can kiss their sport good bye.

The past two years in dropped revenues and dropped ratings tell them they cannot change the sport that has made them great. They are fighting for every fan they can get right now and I don't think they want to lose more.

The NFL may be riding high now but in a couple of years they will be looking for ways to increase their lost revenue. Then what will they do? Strip searches?

John Mercure at 620 WTMJ Milwaukee talks to Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt. It's worth a listen. Schmitt talks how he cannot believe a Wisconsin State Senator would call for a boycott of a large employer in Northeastern Wisconsin and the Green Bay area.

I will say in the interview, you can hear Schmitt said he doesn't know or never meet Lena Taylor who called for a boycott of Georgia Pacific located in Green Bay. Somehow if Schmitt is a democrat of Green Bay Wisconsin , I would say he has meet Taylor in the past.

How many of you remember Heywood Hale Broun? I was watching last night ESPN's Sports Century about Secretariat and seen a clip of Hale talking about Jack Niclkaus talking about the Bellmont and the race with Secretariat. It made me think about how Hale and how much he was an icon in sports history.
